![]() So, what does Kiwi for Gmail offer as a relief from the knuckle cracking blizzard of emotional turmoil that is email? The aptly named and properly capitalized Focus Filtered Inbox for Gmail is what makes Kiwi worth paying for, if you like paying for things that don’t offer immediate tangible rewards like cheese platters and tiny tattoos of butterflies on your wrist. If you only see email Google marks important, you constantly know you’re missing things and need to go digging in the ‘unimportant’ email.'” The Focused Filter is where it’s at ![]() “If you archive an email, suddenly you can’t find it. “Part of the problem with previous approaches is that they force users into these fixed views of their inbox,” said Eric Shashoua, CEO and Founder of Kiwi for Gmail, in a press release. Just like that shitty cake being devoured with the same enthusiasm as ice cream cake, quitting email altogether is somewhat of a perverse fantasy. Between Gmail deciding what is important or spam on your behalf, a focused inbox that might let in the trash and the overwhelming, anxiety-inducing annoyance of task lists, your inbox is most likely a slice of pure hell. The selling point of Kiwi for Gmail (as it is a yearly subscription service) is that it allegedly cleans up your inbox through filters and views and calling your mom when your virtual room is a mess.Įmail is more of a mess than the timeline after Barry farts around in the Speed Force. That’s not a problem for you though bro, you’re still rocking a Hotmail email address that matches your AOL user name from back in the day. With Google’s Inbox shutting down and Gmail adding a bunch of right-click features, it seems that Gmail is always in flux. It’s not the kind of thing you generally use if you are still running Microsoft XP and Lotus Notes. So this is the kind of thing you use if you, for instance, use TweetDeck as a standalone app instead of in the browser (browser-based for life yo). It basically drags Google’s Gmail and G Suite out of the browser and onto your mess of a desktop. As it is now, it just opens in some arbitrary size that I then have to enlarge and deal with as a seperate application.Kiwi for Gmail is one of those applications that you only use if you use those kinds of applications. If it were to open as a tab in Kiwi, it'd respect whatever size that is currently set to. If it were to open in a browser, it'd automatically go full screen and respect my browser setup. Also, the new screen doesn't respect any size requirements I've provided to other windows. This means Kiwi now has multiple screens in my Windows taskbar making making switching back and forth somewhat cumbersome. ![]() For example, opening a calendar link prompts a new Kiwi window. I often wish "pages" would open in either some form of tab or in the browser window. ![]() It doesn't add any excessive functionality and is focused on just providing my Gmail as a program. One thing I wish Kiwi might do is prompt the user that a new email has arrived by altering the icon in the taskbar. Fans of dark mode disappoint sometimes.Ĭomments: Perfectly fine. Sometimes it freezes and I have to exit and restart this. Sometimes difficult to find unread emails. It doesn't come with more than 100 emails per view. there is some lag in a startup this is a minor thing. I like the colour theme because with the help of Kiwi can easily identify every account. Notification and integration are also good. I like the performance when switching between all services. Not only manage Google accounts but also gives the freedom to launch Google Slide, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets. Very cost-effective and manage all Google and Google Workplace accounts easily. They added Grammarly and Zoom features in the basic version. Kiwi gives me the freedom to access all my emails at the same time without a browser. I can manage all Google programs in one place. It's very easy to use and helpful when needed to switch many emails. Awesome software comes with excellent customer support. Kiwi is the best method to interact with all Google services. Comments: It gives me the power to handle all my Gmail in one place.
